This is a form of the practice Stanislavsky called 'rhythmic breathing'.
'Unless you do this practice,' he wrote in 1918 'You will never become good actors.'
Which is obviously not true, because there are plenty of good actors who've never heard of it, but you get the idea: he thought it was really, really useful.
The version I present is called Heart Rhythm Meditation, which I learned from Sufi masters Puran and Susanna Bair at the Institute for Applied Meditation.
This track relies heavily on Puran's way of teaching, but adds in some important connections for actors.
You can use it even if you're not an actor, as a really effective meditation practice. The actor-focused material is relatively fleeting.
